The chair of the Facilities and Campus Environment committee will continue to follow-up locally on open issues here on the Tomwara campus. The chair requests that members at other sites should also do so for their sites. These matters are not policy or decision making matters, just requests such as a water fountain for the A building, elimination of pests in the peer-to-peer counseling center, and other relatively routine matters. As I have noted in sidewalk conversations these are not governance matters per se - the committee surely favors students having access to drinking water, is opposed to pests in offices. The chair asked that committee members get out and walk their campus, go places they do not normally go on their campus. See the campus with new eyes if they can. Notice what they do not normally notice. Bring matters that appear to need attention back to their local maintenance team. That is, for for the chair, a key role members of the FCE committee can play. The chair also posed the following question: What is the local name of the specific area in which your campus is located? For example Kosrae campus is in Tofol, I suspect that Pohnpei campus might be located in Daini, and the national campus could be located in Tomwara. These are land units smaller than municipalities, they are perhaps the smallest and most specific local geographic names available for those sites. What is the smallest and most specific local geographic name for the site of your campus? Chuuk campus: Chuuk Campus is located in Fais. (Ben Akkin) FSM-FMI: Kosrae campus: Thank you Dana for sharing; it seems you know Kosrae more than most Kosraeans. (Director Kalwin Kephas) National campus: Paies (local informant, unconfirmed). Pohnpei campus: Yap campus:
