| Operation | The actions restricted by a hold are determined by the hold type. A hold is effective (enforced) when the current date is after the effective date, or no effective date is specified. Holds remain in effect until the current date is on or after the Clears date. The Clears date is automatically set to the current date when the Clear (C) indicator is set. Holds can not be deleted, only cleared.
